When I come to the office in the morning,...

…I first take a look at all reportings: ferry and railway volumes, development fuel prices, shipped hazardous goods, etc. After this, the daily business starts:

  • checking and realeasing new hauliers
  • banning undesired business partners
  • controlling and releasing dangerous goods orders
  • negotiating prices with suppliers

What does your job role here at Transped involve?

I am responsible for the coordination of our suppliers for all our operational departments, the registrations with authorities and the further development of our markets as well as the acquisition of new markets and suppliers.

Which skills do you need for your job?

As we work with international suppliers and customers, it is necessary to have good foreign language skills, especially English is very important in our daily work. Additionally, you have to have good interpersonal and communication skills: you work with people every day and you have to convince them and build relationships based on trust. Of course you have to be accurate in your work, too.

How did you hear about and end up working here at Transped?

I saw the job ad and applied – and it worked out.

What is the coolest part of your job?

Being the boss of the department :)
